Best Practices/Innovations implemented at Institute level as per guidelines by the Sumandeep Vidyapeeth

  • Evidence based education system (EBES)– EBM course work has been incorporated in curriculum and one project is also given to the students.
    1. EBES Projects: Each First and Second year MBBS Students have to prepare and submit the one EBES Project under guidance of one faculty.
    2. EviGenCHIP program : Third MBBS Part-I student undergo two days workshop on Evidence generation community health interventional programme (EviGenCHiP) and then do and submit one Community based projects under guidance of allotted guide.
    3. EBES Clinical Queries : Third MBBS Part – II student prepares and submit EBES based clinical queries which are critically appraised as part of their learning EBES modules.
    4. EBES based Seminar/ Case Presentation / Journal Club : First all the PG Students are orientated and taught about EBES and EBP orientation workshop and then they incorporate latest best available evidences in Seminar/ Case/ Journal Club Presentation which are critically appraised by the faculties of the departments.
  • Continuous cumulative evaluation system (CCES)– Continuous evaluation- every lecture and practical session is evaluated for the students. Weightage is given on day to day assessment of students and which also reflects in preparation of their internal marks.
  • Student Learning Support System (SLSS) –Categorization of students into Slow, mediocre and advanced learner groups as per the performance and to provide learning support accordingly.
  • Student Mentorship and Counseling System (SMCS) – Structured mechanism for regular monitoring, mentoring and counseling of students, for solving academic as wells as non-academic issues of the mentees by their allotted mentors
  • Feedback on Curriculum : feedback on curriculum is taken from various stakeholders like Students, Teachers, Alumni, Employers and professionals (e.g. Examiners, Invited Guest lecturers or Speakers on Curriculum. And Feasible novel suggestions are incorporated in the curriculum through a structured mechanism established.
