Dean's Message
Warm greetings and best wishes to all. By showing interest in our college you have come at a right place. I am sure that our college will fulfill most of the expectations of a student and his/her parents in terms of the quality of education, care of students and exposure to adequate clinical experience.
In modern times knowledge is growing exponentially in every field. Medical field is no exception. The information available can be overwhelming and intimidating. A medical student needs help and guidance in assimilating and processing this information in an efficient and useful manner. Medical teaching therefore needs to be responsive and flexible to the changing needs of the times. The teaching at our college is designed to prepare a basic doctor who is capable of fulfilling the needs of the community in a comprehensive and dynamic fashion. Our faculties teach students along the lines of Evidence Based Education System thereby inculcating the habit of Evidence based medical practice in their day to day practice.
Our college is growing from strength to strength. Our undergraduate admission capacity has now increased from 150 students per year to 250 students per year. We have postgraduate degree M.D./M.S. courses in 19 specialties of which all are recognized by MCI /NMC. From this year, we have been permitted to increase our postgraduate intake capacity from 136 to 169. We also have Super specialty D.M. /M.Ch. courses in 5 branches of which all are recognized by MCI / NMC. Our college has already got the state of art facilities for excellence in education.
The goal of a medical college is to produce a basic doctor who can understand and try to solve the problems of community, the downtrodden and disadvantaged people who have poor access to health and medical services. All departments of the college strive hard to make the students community oriented to this needs of the society. The Medical students should also understand the judicious use of public fund in their training and should also be responsible to the society.
The field of Medicine is in a very exciting stage of development. By adopting the policy of excellence, innovation and adaptability, we wish to impart quality education to our students so that they can remain at the forefront in their respective field in terms of knowledge, attitude and practice.
